Hazmat shipping

Has anyone finished this mod yet?

USPS is now enforcing their hazmat rules. When a year ago you could sneak a product by, today - not so much.
A small business up in Indiana was just fined $30,000 for shipping a 2 oz bottle of a substance that had a flashpoint below 200 degrees.
So if you don't think it can happen to you because your not a big business.. guess again!

My situation is this.

I have products in a category that some can be shipped USPS and some can only be shipped UPS Ground.
If ONE of the products that can't be shipped USPS is ordered. then UPS Gound is the ONLY option they can choose.
No if's, and's or but's.

I know that there are many now who will need this option.

Anyone? It is an urgent need!

This can be written, but I have not seen anyone write it ...

The best solution is to add a new field to the products table and then customize the admin for this field so it can be added/edited and then tested for in the shipping modules to manage enabling and disabling shipping modules or controlling the shipping methods ...

While it is not difficult to write, it is time consuming ...

Like Linda said, it is not hard to do but it will need to be customized to your needs.

Best suggestion, if you can spare a few Bucks ($$$), hire a developer to do the job and save yourself the hassle.

You can use the hire a developer section to do this or contact one of these 2 developers that I have worked with before.

Thanks. I will look in to this. I kind of figured I would have to have it made - wishful thinking! :)
But some programmer is going to have the bucks if they make this - it will be in demand much more than it is already.

Also (don't know if this is kosher or not) if anyone else needs this and wants to go in on it let me know.
