    Default Members only area

I'm sure this question has been asked, but i did run a forum search and I'm not able to find what I am looking for.

What I want is a "public" store and a "private" store. I realize i'll need two different installs of Zen-Cart, but what I want is for the private store items to be viewable by only users I setup. Any tips or points would be great.

    Thanks.

A little more detail, if you could.

The way you envision it, would there be any connection between the two sites at all ?

It sounds like you would just create two different Zencart installations with different products, and require visitors to log in before they can shop on the 'private' site, which can be set up in admin.

There would be no interaction between the two sites. But yes, I did see you can set the configuration in the admin menu to must be logged in before you can shop. My thing is how do i strict registration?

If I understand, in a similar situation, I edited tpl_login_default.php to remove all the 'create account' stuff, and set Admin - Configuration - Customer Details - Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending to 1, so when the visitor arrived at the site, all he saw was the 'login' form.

I used the 'Add Customers From Admin' mod to create the customer accounts.

Thanks for the help. I've figured out the php part, but where is the admin - configuration part located. I'm logged into the admin section of my zen cart but i guess i'm just over looking it.

    THanks!
