Zen Cart book for beginners?

I am brand new to e-commerce as well as Zen Cart. I need a step by step guide that covers everything (so I don't need to bother you lot TOO much).

Can anyone tell me if this book/guide is any good?

I haven't seen that one, but the book advertised at the top of this page is very good. It covers installation and configuration of Zencart very well.

The book advertised at the top of this page still does not "cover everything" as you requested and I don't think that you will find one that does
As the subject matter is so variable as to what you are selling, how you are selling it and so forth

If you are of the mind that you setup an online store and sit back while the $ roll in you will fail
Operating an online shop is as much work if not more than operating a normal brick mortar store

Never heard of that one before, but it describes a bunch of business optimizing that may ultimately be useful. Obviously I can't say how well it covers the topics mentioned.

For actually setting up your Zen Cart, the book promoted here is very good and covers almost any step you could want in setting up and operating ZC. It doesn't cover customizing the template much (neither does the lulu one as far as I can see), but that is an enormous subject best covered by using this forum anyway.

I own the one advertised at the top of this page (E-start your web store with Zen Cart and it is great. Helps a lot and will walk you though a lot of the questions you may have. Highly recommended!

The other book you mentioned, I saw when I was first looking for one but someone steered me away from it, can't remember why as it was too long ago.

That being said... EVERYTHING in the book will be helpfully but your best bet is get to get use to the Search button on here, and the Wiki section as they are both GREAT tools developed by the people on here! And as always you can ask question on here, which again will teach you infinite amounts! The people on here are very knowledgeable!

The book advertised on the forum gets lots of good reviews but I think it might be a bit advanced for me. I think I will get it anyway as it comes so highly reccomended. I will hopefully grow into it.

I am going to try the cheaper download version of the other in case it is no good. I will ket you know what I think of it.
