I have recently had to move my website to a VPS as my hosts claimed my site was suddenly draining resources and CPU. Unfortunately since the move the admin area has become unusable. (As slow as 2mins per page load on a bad day and 10 seconds on a good day)
Unfortunately this is is just too slow and despite my hosts tech support looking into this I cannot find a resolution and i'm concerned that the front end may soon follow. I have used zen cart for many years and do not want to change but I fear I may have to if I cannot resolve this.
I dont know if it is just coincidence that this slow performance began the day my site was moved but my hosts insist it is zen cart and not the new vps.
Does anybody have any ideas? I am not very technical when it comes to servers/sql etc so Im hoping for some easy to test options to pinpoint the slowness?
I am thinking it may have something to do with zen cart checking the admin login as the initial request for the login page takes upto 2 minutes even when all other page requests take 'only' 10 seconds (orders.php etc)
Any help or advice would be massively appreciated.
