Pre-Order Option, and Others....

Hi all, I apologize if this is in the wrong place, I tried to pick correctly. Mods, please move to the correct forum if this is not it.

I'm getting ready to try setting this up again with the latest version (1.3.9h), and there are a few things I'm trying to nail down still as far as options.

I offer pre-order items regularly, and would like to have an option when creating the product that will let me specify it as a pre-order and either:

1) Have a Pre-Order button replace the normal Add to Cart button
OR
2) Place a pre-order graphic above the Add to Cart button.

Is there something out there now that does this, or is this perhaps a simple mod someone could whip up?

I'd like to add a box to the sidebar that allows people to easily sign up for the newsletter even if they don't register. I can't seem to find quite this option, but maybe I missed it?

I'd like to add sidebar boxes as well that will contain the Facebook news feed and Twitter news feed. Again, what I saw seemed to be only boxes to provide links to Twitter and Facebook, not quite what I want. Anything out there, or, a simple way to do this?

Product and Manufacturer menus - I'd like to have them expand out to the side when clicked...another item I didn't see.

I haven't used it, hence you may look it up.

Seems to be written for 1.3.7, so I feel rather hesitant in believing that one will work, but thank you. Can someone confirm if it does work?

I believe I have found a module that covers #2 finally.
