Category and add to cart

Hi there,
When I click on a category and the product number shown in the "add Qty" box is "0". How do i change this to show "1" and have an add to cart button rather than "an add selected products to cart button".

If I click on an individual product in the category it has 1 in the qty box and an add to cart button.
