Descriptions disappearing after adding poduct

Hi there, wonder if anyone can help??

Just set up a new Zen Cart (V 1.3.9h) having another of an earlier version so was easy to set up.
I have gone and set up the categories with no problem, but when i add products and enter the description in the text box, all is fine...
Then i save it, and again all is fine, I then go back in to edit the text, and its gone....i know its there as if i preview it, the text is there, but when i edit, its not showing up!!
This is also true of the product name, that vanishes too..

Any ideas??
