A few months ago, I installed ZenCart (directly from your site, not my cPanel) on my website (www.rainforest-pets.com), and the install program worked just fine. Now I'm trying to install it on a different site and it's giving me a totally different install screen and asking for things it didn't ask for the first time. I'm pretty computer-savvy, but I don't know anything about MySQL, so I'm really having trouble here.
The first time, it didn't give me any grief about installing a database--it apparently just went ahead and did it. This time, it's choking on the database install screen. So I went into my cPanel and tried to do what it requested.
I manually created a MySQL database. It insisted on putting victoria_ in front of the name (which I made 'zencart' so I'd remember it). The cPanel also asked me to create a MySQL User, so I used the same name...victoria_zencart and the password I use on the ftp server.
I went back to the install program. I wasn't sure if 'localhost' was correct, but it I tried it the first several times, then changed it to the ip address. No difference.
Under Database Username I put 'victoria_zencart' and under Database Password I entered the correct password. Under Database Name the program automatically put 'zencart' so I've left that alone. I haven't messed with the optional settings at all.
The error message I keep getting back is: "Connection to Database failed
Access denied for user 'victoria_zencart'@'volt.websitewelcome.com' (using password: YES) more info..."
I've tried changing the Database Username to 'victoria' and 'zencart' but I keep getting the same error.
What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix it? This is driving me crazy (and it's a short drive!).
Many thanks, in advance, for any assistance you can offer!

I figured that out just before reading your reply! NEVER trust the defaults that the system gives you...............
