Missing Shipping detail linein orders.php

Morning all,

I've scoured the posts with no luck so here's the question as I've come across a rather interesting thing.

It's not happening in one store, but it is in the other... I've compared the orders.php from both (using WinMgerge) and they're identical. both stores are 1.3.9h

Here's the issue:

Bring up in the admin panel a clients order - everything looks great, until you get down to the bottom of the Product display, then you see 'sub-total', followed by 'CA TAX' (if they're in California), finally you see 'Total' BUT no where in that column is 'Shipping'

It's adding it IN correctly, just not displaying it, nor is it in the email receipt in-line. It does however display at the bottom of the email receipt under Deliver Address... so I know the info IS there.

What did I miss?!?

- checked all the shipping modeules... yes they're on if relevant.
- checked the cache area for errors... none.
- verified with the UPSXML file that it retrieved the correct quote - and it did.

I'm flummoxed.

Yep - that's what I've got in the Fez-o site - see image. The only add-on to DSC so far are ones that I also have on the Fez-o site: ezpages on ezpages_on_sitemaps, google adwords, (module manager, simple SEO), sitemapXML, and syscheck.

I can't recall any Admin function switch that would turn this on/off - could a 'english' entry be off? Where in the orders.php is that line by chance? I've tried looking but I'm still a newbie at php.

As you have a correctly functioning install, I would compare settings side by side

It may be the zones setup or zone shipping settings???

OK - did the side-by-side comparison (handy to have two monitors!) and the only thing that was different was the 'tax factor' - nothing else.


Now I did just edit the zone names and tax name - and the Admin Invoice screen didn't change that data... so I figured I'd saunter over and look at the SQL DB... where by gosh - orders_total ... *argh* Each one of those invoice lines has an entry in that table, and it never refreshes!!!

So, it's looking like I'm going to be Schrodinger's cat for a while until I can figure out where that silly bit is... as it looks like someone will have to place an order to step through the entire process to either generate, or not, that shipping line.

Why don't you create a user account and make a test purchase for this - - Why wait??

um... because I'm old and stubborn ?!?

Well, that I hate having voided transactions - yes I know... I can delete them in the DB. (there should be a 'Wipe Order From The Face Of The Planet' option - scours all the DB's and removes all traces)

I'll try it in the morning.
