What is difference between BUY NOW and ADD TO CART?

I have a a Sporadic issue (can not usually duplicate when need to) with customers saying when they use the BUY NOW button in the product grid they get a "You are being redirceted to another site that is not avilabable" messge and never get back to the web site.

But the problem has never happened when they purchase via the ADD TO CART button.

Here is an example of the page they get redirected to after using the BUY NOW:

Biut here is the page redirection with ADD TO CART:

Is it related to your URL rewrite addon?

When I add something I go to http://www.cvtreasures.com/shopping_...ct-1944-p-2186

which is weird because that would normally mean that there was a sub-directory called shopping_cart. That url might not work on everyone's computer/browser.

Maybe I should post this in the Add ON section and see if there is any way around this . There are a number of these "redirect" issues I have had and needed some coding to fix.

I believe the "Shopping_Cart" is a PHP file, not a folder. But I could be wrong.

shopping_cart - small letters, is indeed the Shopping Cart page. Your URL rewrite is removing the default part of the URL though, leaving just the 'shopping_cart' part. Not sure why it's adding something after 'shopping_cart' as there should be nothing.

As to the Buy Now button, it is including 'index' in the URL.

- spacing is mine to prevent indexing

That could explain your problems but I'm not sure where or why the 'index' is being added to the URL. I would guess it is due to the coding used in your .htaccess file for redirecting.

UPDATE: Here is another oddity.

If I access a product in the Featured Product Grid off of the HOME Page, NOT going into the Featured Products URL such as
http://www.cvtreasures.com/featured_products, I DO NOT get the Long extension redirect. The BUY NOW button just redirects to:

http://www.cvtreasures.com/shopping_cart

BUT, if I go into the Featured Products URL
http://www.cvtreasures.com/featured_products, and then hit a BUY NOW button I get the below Long extended redirect, often (but not always) triggering a cannot access error.
