What Makes Hulu.com Work?

I am a reseller of international movies and music. I am considering approaching distributors for rights to charge a fee to watch movies on my site.

Before i do so, i want to know if this is something I will be able to execute. What I want to do is exactly like Hulu.com. Does anybody know what powers Hulu or what i will need with my zencart powered store to accomplish the same thing.

Any help is much appreciated.
