typing web site into google.. nothing!!

Hi Guys,
I was just curious as to how long it takes for a website to be "indexed" (?) in Google?

My site is only a few weeks old but if I type the whole address into google it's not found. I'd expect that if I was doing a specific search for my products such as the meta tags etc but I would have thought the site would come up??

Yes it is the link but right now I'm in the process of changing hosts so there is no ite.

I tested it a couple of days ago and there was nothing.

hopefully I'll be up and running with a new Zen cart install tonight or tomorrow :)

No, google has not indexed any of your pages.

I find it normally takes around 4-5 days with a Zencart store - I add the site to my Google Webmaster account, punch the domain into www.submitexpress.com and Yahoo and Bing, then wait.

Don't always expect 4 - 5 days though, It can take a couple of weeks sometimes, don't ask me why.

I'm going to make sure I optimise everything before I submit it as there are only 6 websites in Australia selling what I'm selling so I need to be ahead of the game.

I don't mind how long it takes as long as I do it properly the first time!!

Do you have to re submit every month?

Your site can't be "indexed" because it has no "index". There's no index.htm or index.html or index.php, and just gives a 403 error because of the lack of an index file.

Google will first spider the index page, but it will probably be weeks later before it comes back to go through all other pages.
