Multiple Image Help Needed

Dear all,

I have been trying to add more images to a single product , read through the tutorial but still could not understand how to get it working. i would like to do something like this , is it possible for zen cart to do this? thanks in advance!

Reread the tutorial. It's basically the naming convention that drives the multiple images.

I'm sorry but what does naming the convention that drives the multiple images means?

i have read the tutorial many times and I do not know what i have missed in the steps. I couldnt even create a basic multi image product listing.

Here's what i did so far:
1) Admin-Catalog-Categories/Products-(The_Product)-Attributes
2) Attributes Image Swatch: - Browse
3) Added a test image from attributes folder.
4) Attributes Image Directory: - attributes
5) Overwrite Existing Image on Server? - No
6) Insert

7) Admin-Configuration-Images
8) Product Info - Number of Additional Images per Row - 3

9) Admin-Configuration-Attribute Settings
10) Enable Attribute Images - true

What did i missed?

Perhaps you read the wrong tutorial.

You don't want them as attribute images.

Thats the exact tutorial i read and that tutorial i do not understand.

I tried copying image.gif to medium and large folder and
renaming them as image_01.gif, then no magic happened (read from another thread)..

I just copy,move and rename into the images to the respective folders and my product listing will have multiple images? (that magic thing ?)

or

There's a button where i can upload the second or third image?

could anyone provide a step by step guide? really confused.

I figured it out how to add additional images already.

1) Create a new folder for the images eg. images/files
2) Create a new item, select image.gif
3) Upload to directory - files
4) Preview
5) Update
6) Go to images/files directory
7) Add the addtional images and renaming them to
image_01.gif
image_02.gif
and so on.

I tried copying image.gif to medium and large folder and

You choose an image as your main image:
main-image.jpg
then you pick your other images, and name them
main-image_01.jpg
maina-image_02.jpg
and so on

You upload main-image.jpg from the admin panel into images directly, or into a subfolder of images

Then you use the ftp to upload the main-image_01.jpg and main-image_02.jpg into the same folder where you uploaded the main-image.jpg

For the medium and large images you name them
main-image_MED.jpg
main-image_01_MED.jpg
main-image_02_MED.jpg
and
main-image_LRG.jpg
main-image_01_LRG.jpg
main-image_02_LRG.jpg

Then you ftp them in the medium, and large folder in the images folder, if you put your original main-image.jpg into a subfolder, then you have to put the _MED and _LRG images into a subfolder named like the original subfolder into the medium and large folders

i.e
images/subfolder/main-image.jpg
images/medium/subfolder/main-image_MED.jpg
images/large/subfolder/main-image_LRG.jpg
