moving my cart

finally have a new hosting service and ill get away from the nightmare of yahoo, but a little nervous of the process. I assume the right way to go is to upload zen cart to new server - create a database and then shift my cart?

Does the database have to have the same name and password?
What about admin - how will i access that?
Yahoo does not allow .htaccess files which has always been a problem - but now that i will have them is there any provision i should make for this when doing my transfer?
Yahoo runs on quite old mysql - 4.something
am i going to have a problem moving my existing database to the new server running on a newer version?

That nervous about the process that I have even thought of building from scratch in 1.3.9h (currently using 1.3.9f) on new server and then just deleting current cart when ready but that seems a little extreme.

ok was not that bad - followed the tut its all there and working. BUT think i made one mistake? Think i should have renamed the admin folder to the same as it was on my old host and then overwritten everything except admin/includes/configure ??

Now I can see the shop on my temp url (have not changed name server yet) http://ecbiz71.inmotionhosting.com/~stripe10/newsite/

but if i try to log on to admin using the new login name and password i made during the setup process - nothing.

Am i write in assuming the fix would be to delete my old myadmin folder rename the new admin folder to the same and then ftp and overwrite everything except the configure.php??

Know i need to do this
Grab the "Fix_Cache_Key" utility to reset your Admin->Sessions->Session Directory key so that it uses the proper folder path for your new server:
