Products not appearing in the shop, but are in the admin section

Hello Everyone -

I am currently using v1.3.9h Zencart. I've come across an issue I haven't seen before on my sites. In the admin section, I have a category names "Metal Pipes" with four products. When you go to the live site, and click on "Metal Pipes" nothing shows up.

One of the names begins with the letter "F"; if you filter results by the letter "F" you will see that the page title displays the item, but you can't see anything. I've had a few problems with this site using v1.3.9h, but nothing I couldn't remedy. If someone could help me figure this out, it would be much appreciated.

What happens if you set products_id 40 to products_status = 0

Does Category categories_id 1 start to work again?

I set the product status to disabled in the admin section. I am hoping that's what you meant. Nothing changed.

I am guessing that the number "40" must be causing something to disrupt

Tehre are 4 Products in that Category ...

Disable all of them ...

Then, enable them 1 by 1 and test if you can see categories_id 1 ...

It appears 1 or more of these Products is causing an issue ... you will notice if you go to the New Products you see 1 Product then the display breaks ... If you go to All Products you see your Products, but then sort by New to Old and it will again break after the 1st Product is displayed ...

Sounds like either something in the Product Description or an image that is way too big ... these have been previous causes that have been posted by people with similar issues ...

Ahh Thank you! That was the case, the user had upload an image that was directly off her camera memory stick. Very large image.

If you dont mind me asking an additional question, is there anything available for zen cart that might be used as an image compressor file rename? I've tried stressing to the client about the images, but I dont want it to be come too difficult for them should she keep trying to upload this way.

Even with Image Handler installed very large images will still cause this issue, we have seem it quite a few times. We usually have them download here http://paint.net/ , It's fairly easy to use.
