OK can someone please clarify this for me because it is driving me nuts.
Within PayPal express checkout setting I have the following option:
Express Checkout: Automatic Account Creation
If a visitor is not an existing customer, a Zen Cart account is created for them. Would you like make it a permanent account and send them an email containing their login information?
NOTE: Permanent accounts are auto-created if the customer purchases downloads or gift certificates, regardless of this setting.
Settings: Yes/No
OK heres the thing. What is this actually doing? I have selected no, on the understanding that when someone clicks the paypal button INSTEAD of signing up, it redirects them to paypal, they pay and paypal sends all the relevant billing details back to the site in order for the Order to be created, and with the setting at 'No' I was expecting this is all it should do?
However, when I checkout in this way, it is creating an account as if I try to check out a second time, I get the error, the system already has a record of this email address!!??
Please please can someone clarify this setting, what it is suppose to do and or if I have an issue with my checkout?
Thanks
Phil
