Installation and restore problems

I am taking over a website for a friend and helping them move it to a new host. I installed Zen-cart and they gave me a backup of a database from their previous host but I can't find anywhere to restore a database. Also after installing it, it says the install folder is still there but I deleted it, then I went back to my server and the folder is still there but it is empty. How can I fix both these problems? Thanks in advance!

Delete the folder

Have you created a database in your hosting manager?

After you do use phpmyadmin to import the DB Backup

Make note of the DB name you create, the user you create and the db password you assign to this user

Edit the 2 configure.php files for this DB details
