    Default Column View

Hi all, I guess this should be pretty basic for a shopping cart app, but I can;t find any definitive information on how to change all the product listings to be in a column rather than rows.

I'de like to change the 'New products' and the All Products in the category.

I can see some mods, but it's not clear what exactly they do as non have examples on the mod pages.

I'm really stuck on this and hope someone can help :)

    Many thanks

    Thanks for the Reply,

I've already tried that one, I must be doing something wrong, because nothing has changed when I upload those files... that's why I thought I was using the wrong mod...Any suggestions?

Did you rename the folders from "admin" in the mod to the name of your "admin" on the server then upload the folders?

    Cheers,

HI Maxy077, thanks for the reply.

I managed to get it working...sort of. I had to replace the tpl_modules_product_listing.php with the original one from the default template folder (as someone said on the forums).

Problem is it only shows in the product category and when it wraps to the second line the left padding is out?

Is there a way to get this working on the New products for page?

Did you set in the admin > configuration to show as column grid? 'cause if I remember correctly it would leave the original layout, and you have to go in, and change it to column view.
In this case I think you should upload the mod's file.

    Hi,

Yeah, I had that changed. It's a bit strange how it needed the original file rather than the modded one.

It just gives me the option of Product Listing - Layout Style: columns Or Rows.

So frustrating, trying to do a simple thing and it's a nightmare. Why so hard...why

Then all I can suggest is to uninstall it (remove all the files of the mod, and sql if there - don't remember), and reinstall it, hoping, and praying ... if you're a believer ;)

uninstal Zen cart? or just the mod...
If just the mod, why would it make a any difference just removing the files and then replacing them?

Also I thought all the SQL did was to add new settings into he configuration, or does it have greater effect?

    Many thanks

    I meant the mod.
Being a strange behaviour I just thought the only explanation could be that one file might have been corrupted, or not loaded properly, it's a long shot, and perhaps very unprobable, but at this point might be worth giving it a try ... Yes my understanding of the SQL is the same, but just meant to play it safe, getting rid of everything.

Other reason could be some incompatibility with something (perhaps another mod?) on your site, given you have something else out of the basic Zen Cart installation.

Last, and maybe should have been first, is to look for the support thread.
