    application error Invalid Licence

    [FONT="Trebuchet MS"]Hi Guys,

    I am a new Zen Carter, getting on ok'ish but I have a little problem when I log in to my Admin area, I get a message at the top left hand side of the screen saying
    "Invalid Licence"

    Then when I make any updates, lets say to a product, I preview, update, get a blank White Screen with Invalid Licence showing, I then have to re-log in to the admin area.

    Any Ideas?????? it's really anoying.

    I have recently had a Dedicated IP and a SSL certificate installed, then this problem started, I have contacted my Hosting agents and they say its nothing to do with them and to go via this route to find a solution.

    I look forward to any advice please

    Dave

    That is not a stock Zen Cart problem. Are you using a purchased template or other Add On?

    [FONT="Trebuchet MS"]Hi,

    Thanks for the reply, I am using the Standard Classic template with a few mods, but I also have the Royal Mail Shipping module installed, do you think it could be that causing the trouble??

    Regards,

    I think I would start there.

    I'd say whoever installed your SSL certificate didn't do it right.

    BTW, you don't need (or want) to secure your whole site.

    [FONT="Trebuchet MS"]Hi stevesh,

    Thanks for your reply,

    I see, I had a lot of trouble with my Hosting agent installing the SSL they lost most of the content of my site, but they did get it back after a few days.

    Then when I typed in my web address I was not getting any SSL, ie it just said in the browser http:// not https:// I questioned this and then every page was https://

    I am also getting a security warning message when I go to my site via my browser.

    Any Ideas,

    Dave

    The tutorial I pointed to will tell you how to edit your configure.php file so that Zencart can decide which pages need to be secured.

    I Googled invalid license and got some links to pages that suggest that problem resulted from an improper SSL installation, which is why I suggested that. I would take another run at whoever installed it.

    [FONT="Trebuchet MS"]Hi,

    I just thought I would update you on the problem I had, It is now solved, it was to do with the Royal Mail Module, when my host installed my dedicated IP and SSL cert, I needed to tell the Royal Mail Module of the IP change...... simple when you know how

    Thanks to everyone who helped me out on this problem,
