[Done v1.5.0] Bug with media manager -> assign to product

using a fresh install of v 1.3.9h i am unable to "assign product" using the media manager.

when i select a product from the music category and click "add" i get immediately bumped over to the zen cart admin home page with no error message or anything.

i am not seeing an error in the apache error log and the record is not being created in the media to products table.

can someone else verify this or am i doing something completey wrong???
