some JPG images will not show in browser.... but uploaded correctly

has anyone experienced uploading a product image through the zencart control panel and it does not show up when the front end is viewed? I am having this issu on some of our images. All are jpg formats and saved properly as .jpg . When we try to upload them, they will not show (not even an "X" mark).

any ideas? one fix was I had to open the file in an editor and save it again as .jpg.... weird... and these same images actually load fine in another zencart site....

How large are these images, as in filesize, we have had issues with images that are massive as in over 1mb in size, can you show us a location where this is happening?

these image are saved as normal jpgs not progressive jpegs?

filesize just a couple KB, less than 100KB in fact....

ok after viewing the source file of the page when opened in a browser, I noticed that the image got save with .jp instead of .jpg.... i double checked the file uploaded and it's supposed to be .jpg... any idea why zencart admin is removing the "p" in the filename?

I don't think the filename is very long since it's working in a nother zencart site (exact same image and filename)

oh i'm using the latest versino of zencart...

try saving the image again then, I assume there would be some filename length limit, but it should be fairly large.

there aren't any weird characters in it. should be alphanumeric with hyphens and underscores.

If it works in one zencart site it should work in another one, are there any errors showing up in the /cache file
