Limited free samples

Ok, I think I understand what you are saying, but could it be done easily if I had a coupon that could NOT be used with any other orders or products and I would note that on the coupon. My boss is making this a big issue for me.

You can make it clear that the Discount Coupon is only valid on orders with the 1 sample product, but you would still have to test that the customer is following those instructions as there isn't anything to block the customer from making an order with multiple Products and applying a Discount Coupon that is valid based on the restrictions ...

So the coupon would work if I set the amount to the total of one of my products plus free shipping. And the customer did NOT try and add any other garment to the order.

If the customer tried to add a second garment to the order if might cause an error.

I would be OK with that based off what my boss says to me.

Is it an easy code change?

It is not the amount of the Discount it is the Free Shipping ...

If a Discount Coupon has Free Shipping ... the order gets Free Shipping for everything ...

My boss understands that and can accept if someone does slightly abuse the free shipping. In her mind even if the get two more items at least they will have bought two more items and she is will too accept the possibility of the free shipping.

With that said. Can you tell me where and what file I would change. thank you for the time in explaining the issues to me, and trying to warn me of the problems.

What version of Zen Cart is this for?

This requires customization of the ot_coupon.php and not having to worry about the Free shipping for the rest of the Products in the order eliminates a lot of issues ...

Also is your shop in the US?

I am using version 1.3.9 with super orders, and attributes, I do not know if that matters or not.

I also have USPS addon and FeedEx addon.

Go to your Tools ... Server Info ...

Copy the information from the line that reads:
Server Information

<everything here>

to the line that reads:
PHP Version

including the PHP Version ...

Hate to beat it into the ground, but I need as much info as possible on this ...
