Need help creating categories

I need to put the items in inventory back into three categories from top level, and can't figure out how to create new categories to place items into. Does anyone know how to create categories when it only shows top level and create new product is all that shows?

Sub-Category LEVELS and PRODUCTS cannot exist at the same level. If you have products at the TOP level, you will not be able to add categories.

You must first REMOVE (delete) all the products.

is there a way to back up all the products to enter them in quckly?

You could probably do this using the Easy Populate module (EP version 1.2.5.4)

Install the module.

Run it to EXPORT a full list of products

Delete the products in your database.

In your Easy Populate "spreadsheet", add the sub-categories before you re-load the data into the webshop.
