Order products without attributes (selected attribute was deleted while in basket)

Hi Guys

Every now and then we get an order come through with no attributes.

Example:

1 x Bridgedale Trekker Socks
- :

Although there are attributes set to this product. I have tried to replicate the problem using different browsers, turning off javascript and using mobile clients. However each time I get the correct error message displayed "Please choose a valid option..".

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can find the issue?

Found the issue...

1. Customer adds a product with an attribute to their cart.
2. Customer logs out.
3. Attribute is removed by admin (as that size is now out of stock).
4. Customer logs back in and completes order with no attribute.

Now standard ZC functionality removes products that have been taken offline from the users cart. I think this should take attributes into consideration.

Has anyone created anything to counter this?

If not I will try to update this and release in the add-ons section of the site.

Are you using Stock by Attribute or are you saying that from time to time you physically remove Attributes from a Product and this is happening?

Thanks for the reply.

We use sage for our stock control, the product attributes are only for sizing/colour/style.

If the product becomes out of stock in a certain size/colour/style we will pyhsically remove that attribute from the product.
