    Default Canada Post Lettermail (again?)

    Hi all.

I have been playing with this for a few days now, scratching my head.
I have a CPC account set up with shipping boxes, etc... pictures are attached.

I played with a few versions of the Canada Post module and have read this thread 10 times, checking all of the solutions found there with no luck.
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=115418

I ended up installing the latest version of Zen Cart 1.3.9.h as well as the latest version of CP Mod. I have a fresh install with no other mods and still can't seem to get the letter rates to work; I am getting $6.72 for shipping rates.

I am obviously overlooking something... perhaps a Zen setting that the CP module takes for granted as being set?? (but isn't yet because I have a fresh Zen install)

I have my default country and postal code set, have my test product under the shipping dimensions and weight and still no luck.

I understand the CP mod to a certain level, however it seems that the simple solution would be to look at the dimensions and weights of the products entered in the shopping cart and completely ignore the Canada Post Sellonline site for quotes if the dimendions fall within Lettermail Rates. Canada Post has already informed me that the Sellonline feature quotes small packages only.

    Anyone with some new insite?

When you talk to CP Tech Support, what are they telling you that they're seeing for the weights you're submitting?

    CP verified some of the testing I did, and my products do pass to the closest package dimension/weight within Sellonline; they informed me that several times, the testing of product XX resulted in the proper shipping rate, so that aspect works no problem. {edit: when I was testing, I had test dimensions larger than Lettermail and smaller than Lettermail... all of the sizes of the test products were automatically quoted as small packages}

From what they told me, they have had several other calls regarding this with Zen Cart and their answer is that the Sellonline feature is only good for packages... or... anything BUT lettermail.

This baffles me because from what I have read, others seem to have got their modules working... or have they?

If Canada post is correct in that the Sellonline feature is ONLY good for non-lettermail, then it stands to reason that those who claim that their modules work are merely getting their Lettermail Rates from the tables set in the Canada Post mod, not those being quoted from Sellonline.

This brings me back to square one - Why are the table rates in the Canada Post Mod not being passed to the shopping cart - completely bypassing the need to go to Sellonline for a quote?

OK, well I looked at the canadapost.php module in \includes\modules\shipping\canadapost.php and immediately found a problem with the code around line 154.

It is missing '/' for the three table rates

Wouldn't you know it, right after I changed the code and uploaded it, the Lettermail rates appear AND, I came across this thread with someone else who figured out the fix

Admins/Mods, please incorporate this fix into the download found here:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...products_id=78

It's a bit frustrating to d/l a mod that has to be fixed

If you have the right fix that works, you're welcome to package up the fixed version and upload it as an update to the existing mod.
