    Default How long on the average should it take to upgrade?

    Was going to upgrade from 1.3.8a to 1.3.9h, can I do this in a day?

    the average novice - total hours - maybe 6. I did mine over a period of time. Rereading the procedure and reading postings - Once I figured out what to do - it really did not take much time at all.

    This will vary a lot depending on how many mods you have installed (and what kind). A heavily modified site with admin mods could take several times longer. If it is relatively vanilla, could be shorter.

    Takes me 2-6 hours to upgrade. However the actual upgrade itself takes me less then a minute or so. I create a patch on a beta site and work it till I can install it quickly and painlessly. That way my store doesn't go down for more then it needs to.
