I was just wondering if it was possible to use the cart on a completely custom page. Perhaps using code to submit to the cart, but not using the style of zen-cart. Please let me know if this is possible.

Not really, no. There are instructions somewhere in the forums for linking buttons on a HTML site to a product in Zencart, but the best way is to make Zencart your whole site. Zencart wasn't designed to be a back-end cart script for an existing site.
