Default Tax working, but not region specfic....

I made a tax class for California and it's working fine, only problem is even if the address changes to another state the California tax still gets applied. What am I doing wrong? Am I supposed to not apply to the tax class to the product and let it do it automatically? When I don't add a tax class to a product no tax is applied at all to any state which definitely isn't how I wanted it.

    Thanks for any help.

Anyone? I really gotta get this issue sorted out before I start taking in orders, or I'll end up in a cell next to Wesley Snipes and in one with Big Bubba.

Check the Zone Definition Details and make sure that you have added:
    Country: United States
    Zone: California

It sounds like you made the Zone Definition but did not add the Details correctly under the Details button ...

Ok thanks I figured it out. I made a another account and set it to MI and that didnt get taxed. The account I was testing with was a Cali account and like a fool I thought changing shipping address would waive taxes.
