    Default Safari/Chrome navCatWrapper Link Issue

I'm working on a first time install of Zen Cart (ver. 1.3.9h with Ty Tracker and Super Orders installed) and while the FAQ and forums have helped me resolved just about everything, I'm running a strange issue with ONLY Safari and Chrome browsers. This does not seem to be related to the alignment issue reported in another post (or at least I don't think it does), and searching has turned up nothing.

    Anyway here is the site:
    https://www.yumyumyamyam.com/
If you view it in Safari on Mac and Windows (I'm using 5.0.3, but I've seen it on earlier versions too) or Chrome (not at my Windows computer, so I can't say what version), you'll notice that while all the text in the header is centered in the header graphic, the links for each are only active at the very bottom of the text, and are only about a pixel or two high.

These same links look fine in all versions of Firefox I've tried. I haven't looked using IE just yet.

I can't say when the issues started-- I only tried testing in a browser other than Firefox this morning.

Any ideas? I'm a low to moderately skilled CSS person but I couldn't see anything obvious there.

Thanks ahead of time, and thanks after the fact for all the help everyone has provided for all of the problems I WAS able to fix without asking!

Your site looks exactly the same here in IE8, FF, Chrome and Safari, all running on Windows. Your header is messed up in IE7, though.

Cool, thanks for letting me know about IE7-- I'm not sure I have a copy of it installed anywhere to check against! That is another item on my list of things to fix .

The issue I was talking about though is the links in the nav bar and their mouseover behavior, not their appearance, and what part of the text is clickable in Safari and Chrome.

If you have IE8, you can click on the button to the right of the address box to invoke Compatibility Mode, which is IE7.

I see what you mean about the links, though I don't think it's a site-killer. You might try adding some height to #navCatTabs ul li a.

Thanks again for your help! Adding height to ul li and a actually didn't address the problem with the links' hit areas, but you definitely set me on the right path. What did ultimately fix the problem though was setting position:relative on #navCatTabs ul li a.
