You say you setup a table based on the costs ...
Is this a new database table or a new field on the products table?

I currently have a table rate set up via the Shipping Module in the Admin section.
The table only covers the shipping costs for smaller items.
The additional freight charges are for larger products that require unique/non-standard handling. Large bumpers, body panels, heavy items, etc.
Keep in mind that I don't control those costs, they are set by my supplier.
Make sense?
Okay so you did not make a new "database table", you are using the Table Rate table shipping module ...
But, what you really need is to either add on to the cost calculated by the Table Rate table shipping module based on the Code A-I to add additional cost to the shipping cost ... or make a new shipping module to manage the Code A-I ...
Is this correct?
Are ALL Products shipping based on Code A-I or just SOME Products need to use that?

After much reading I determined that I need an Advanced Shiping Module to do what I need.
Will install later today.
Frustration....I'm the lining example of the word.
I paid for and downloaded Advanced Shipper. It looks like it will do the trick IF I can get the data into it.
After re-reading the Easy Populate wiki I figured out that there's no way for me to add the product shipping codes to the tab-delimited spreadsheet. I see no heading that even comes close and from what I can tell, i can't just make my own heading and add it the spreadsheet.
Apparently something to that extent is possible with Easy Populate Advanced...so i paid for it, downloaded and installed on my local host. Well....I tried to install it.
That's when I started seeing a lot of complaints about not being able to install, or great difficulty installing it. Turns out the support from the guy selling it (some Aussie named Langer) is non-existent.
I started a thread looking for some help getting it installed. Thought I'd mention that in case someone knows someone who might know someone....that knows how to get the damn thing to install. Basically I think I wasted $65.
So here I am looking at other "Populate" programs will allow me to import a shipping code so I can actually get some use out of Advanced Shipper.
If you are good at the DB thing - meaning you know the cross indexing requirements of the ZenCart DB
You can look at NaviCat, and I believe they still offer a 30 day free trial
Back up, backup, backup the Database before trying any of these things.....I stress this as it provides you a fall back in the event you hose something up
Agreed!
This is the reason I do everything on my local install first.
