multiple vendor shipping?

Hello! I am NEW to to Zen-Cart . I have searched FAQS etc found a few similar post not what I needed quite.

Question: I have a brand new Zen Template we downloaded and just have a question setting up shipping cost using multiple vendors that are drop shipping for me.

I have set up 5-6 accounts directly with manufacturers where folks would shop my store order from me and then I will place orders with manufacturers and pay them.

The problem is they are located in 5-6 different states. How can I add a approximate shipping cost so when my customer orders they get a fairly accurate price? (using 5-6 different origination zip codes etc) Hopefully set up shipping cost by weight of product

Using maybe UPS or Fedex as that is preferred method by manufacturers.

I am presently using Zen Cart v1.3.9h

We will only offer shipping within USA and my vendors are all in USA.

You can't do that in a stock Zencart site. Try Googling ceon advanced shipping for a possible answer. I haven't used it, but many here say it works well.

It does work well, though will need some investment in time to understand how to use it.

Fair comment, but people shouldn't be deterred by that as Ceon provides detailed documentation with plenty of examples.

Obviously it depends on individuals, but I reckon an hour working through the manual should usually be enough.
