Hi annettes,

You definitely have a defaults.css on your website. It is at the path that has already been given. Can you explain what you are doing in filezilla that gives you the impression that it doesn't exist?

You should be browsing to something like....

htdocs / includes / templates / TemplateEditor / css

in there *is* the defaults.css

Secondly, in regard to the problem with the locations of the AddToCart box, you will need to edit the product_info.php page.

As you're using the TemplateEditor template, you should find this file at...

/includes/templates/TemplateEditor/templates/tpl_product_info.php

in that file, possible somewhere around line 115, you should have a <br class="clearBoth" /> tag.

Delete that, or comment it out, and it will get you started on what you want to achieve. Still leaves a mess, but at least the info is alongside the image, not below it.

Hi Celtic,
At this point I'm confused on using Filezilla. I thought I understood it, but obviously I don't. When I'm beginning to search for the defaults.css and I connect to remote site with Filezilla, should I only be searching file tree on right side of Filezilla? Or should I be searching my zen cart file on pc? Which side should I search? And when I find it, do I upload or download to one side or other to make changes?

Right now, I'm searching right side and find includes/templates/AnnettesCustom/css and images and sideboxes. I don't see TemplateEditor/css/defaults.css .....

You should definitely be looking in the right hand side, on your web server.

I wouldn't be able to browse to that file from here if it wasn't sitting on your webserver. The webserver (or your previous web designer) does have the capability of setting up 'virtual' paths, which make things look like they're in one place but are in effect somewhere else. It's unlikely this is the case, but it's a vague possibility. Do you know what 'TemplateEditor' is, as I've not heard of it and it could be some custom plugin or something?

Ideally, you should have an exact copy of your website on your local PC so that you make the changes locally, then use Filezilla to FTP them to your server. It sounds like somethings gone awry somewhere.

It may be worthwhile you creating a new temporary folder on your local pc and using Filezilla to FTP the whole of your website down into it. At least then you should have an exact copy of your website on your local pc. (You can then do a search in windows explorer to see if you can find out where defaults.css is located.)

You don't have to do a local search though, as FileZilla has an option to search your server (although it is a bit slower). Just go to the Server menu, then choose Search Remote Files. Maybe that'll find defaults.css for you. (If some sort of virtual path does exist that points to somewhere outside your webspace, that might find it).

Forgot to answer your question - No, I havve no idea what TemplateEditor is, only see that is along infamous path where everyone's telling me my defaults.css is. I'll keep looking! Thanks again.

I FOUND IT!

it is at www/includes/templates/templateeditor.......
there were many other includes files outside of www file at bottom, and I was looking in those.

that's good news, just make the changes to the css and the tpl_product_info.php page and you should be a bit closer to getting what you want (not that I'm suggesting it was an arduous task browsing through pages of scantilly clad ladies but somebody's gotta do it!).

Celtic, The image problem at defaults.css is fixed!
But I received this error on website when I removed <br class="clear both"/> from tpl_product_info.php ?

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_REQUIRE in /home/annettes/public_html/includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php on line 1

What program did you use to edit tpl_product_info_display.php? That's not an error I have seen before, but "line 1" sounds like your editor may have added a line or space before the opening <?php in that file, which can cause problems.

Also, "/template_default/" is not the location where your edited copy of the file should go. ALWAYS save edited copies of files in the same relative location in/under a /your_template/ folder.

ok, will do. I used Fielzilla to get to file and Notepad to open and edit it. I'm assuming since I did not save edited version into different file, I need to figure out where I deleted it from in order to correct.
