Default USPS International addresses aren't recognized - cuztomers can't check out

I woke up yesterday to some emails from customers saying that Step 1 at checkout is telling them that USPS can't ship to their addresses, and they can't move past it to checkout.

"We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address and the shipping methods we typically use.
If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact us for assistance.
(Please check that your Zip Code is entered correctly.)"

These are, often, repeat customers who have already successfully ordered, some last week. I'm using the latest ZenCart version, and when I checked the Shipping Module, everything appears to be in order, no changes, no Zone restrictions.

Any idea of what would have caused this, even a simple as helping me narrow it down to a ZenCart problem or a USPS/Stamps one? We have about 60% International sales and I would love to get this sorted ASAP. Thanks!

Oh fantastic, I'm sure that's it. I looked around for FAQ or upgrades, but must have missed that. Hilarity ensues, my website is down now, AND my host's site. Jeez. Must have pissed off a hacker somewhere:) I'll download the new version and when my site comes back up I'll do the install. Thanks so much!

Okay, man, I hate to come back with such a silly issue but... I can't seem to get the new USPS version to be recognized. I have installed the new 'includes' folder about 4 times now after removing the previous USPS version from the Shipping module, but when I click 'Install' it just installs the January version. I'm missing something... does the 'includes' folder go in the public_html folder, or somewhere else? I was just using the same location as the old folder, but I always get into trouble when assuming! Grrrr, feel like a newb, any tips would be great, thanks!

Okay ... most likely this is all related to not getting the files installed correctly ...

From the add-on Plugins, get the USPS July 28, 2013 J5 at:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1292

Make sure that you unzip the download and load to your server the file:
    \USPS_2013_0728\USPS J5_TEST\USPS v15 Ratev4 2013_0127 R2013_0729_J5\includes\modules\shipping\usps.php

to be in the server at:
    /includes/modules/shipping/usps.php

    and then:
    \USPS_2013_0728\USPS J5_TEST\USPS v15 Ratev4 2013_0127 R2013_0729_J5\includes\languages\english\modules\shipping\usps.php

to be in the server at:
    /includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/usps.php

Next, go to your Zen Cart Admin and go to Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ...

In the bottom input box enter:
    usps.php

Then, select Catalog ... click SEARCH ...

What comes up on the lines for:
    * @version $Id: usps.php

Okay, I'm up to the steps where I copied over the php files from the J5 version, which appeared to have overwritten correctly. But when I ran the search I get:

    Searching 837 files ... for: usps.php

    /home1/nonfinit/public_html/catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/usps.php

    Line #6 : * @version $Id: usps.php 18348G 2013-01-27 01:27:00Z ajeh $

    /home1/nonfinit/public_html/catalog/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php

    Line #9 : * @version $Id: usps.php 18348G 2013-01-27 01:27:00Z ajeh $

Soooooo, it's still finding the January version. Start from scratch?

Gonna have to do it again ...

Now, your shop is in the /catalog directory on your server ... correct?

    And both your files:
    /includes/configure.php
    /your_secret_admin_dir/includes/configure.php

are both setup using the same directories and paths, correct?

NOTE: if you post your configure.php files be sure to mask your secret admin directory name and database information and password ...

Yes, shop is in catalog directory. You had me until the secret admin directory, ha ha, I'll try to figure that one out. It should be named something custom, I'm assuming? My IT guy set this whole shop up for me, but has since moved on without showing me anything, so I'm learning as I go. Superfun.

Since the January version worked fine, can I assume that those directories were set up using the same path, or no?

The name of the /admin depends on what version of Zen Cart you are using ...

As to the paths, you need to compare the two configure.php files to ensure that they are both using all the same information on paths and database information ...

What is the full path in your FTP program that you use for where you are putting the USPS files?
