Unique Rounding Problem

In my product configuration, I have my price set to 32.95. However, when I go to checkout, quantities of 10 and under are priced correctly, but 11+ are not.

In my example, I'm using 11 items priced at 32.95/ea.
Step 1 of the checkout process is priced at 362.31 (32.937272/ea). But wait, it gets even worse. Once I get to step 3 of the checkout (after entering in credit card info), two different totals are presented!

I can't begin to tell you how unprofessional this is! :censored:

In the example, I'm using an address not taxable, so I know that's not the issue.
I'm using ZC 1.3.9h, current on everything. I have 14 mods installed, but none relating to pricing or products.

If anyone can help me figure this out and get rid of the rounding, I'd appreciate it!!!

Re: Unique Rounding Problem

Do you have Attributes on this product?

If you edit the Attributes do you have anything about price on them?

Is your Product marked as Priced by Attribute?

How do the prices look for quantity 10 and quantity 11 in the Shopping Cart?

What are your currency settings?

Is this in the default currency?

Is that currency marked as the value of: 1.0000

Re: Unique Rounding Problem

Ajeh,

Do you have Attributes on this product? I do have attributes.

If you edit the Attributes do you have anything about price on them? All of the attributes cost (0.00), they are more like options for me.

Is your Product marked as Priced by Attribute? It is set to NO right now; should it be YES??

I included images in my original post with both 10 and 11 quantities in the shopping cart. It won't let me upload them again.

Yes, this is in the default currency of USD, marked as 1.000000.

Thank you so much for your help!

Re: Unique Rounding Problem

Attributes should be set as NOT Priced by Attributes ...

Priced by Attributes is used when you cannot determine a Product Price without the addition of the Attributes ...

Do you have an URL to your site that we could perhaps peek at and the products_id for this Product?

Linda (Sorry, I didn't notice your real name last post!),
I am PMing you since the website is in a half-live state and you can't get to the shopping cart normally. :)

Re: Unique Rounding Problem

Well aren't I just an idiot :lamo:

I added quantity discounts a few days ago, but it was so far down the priority line, I think anymore about it. Obviously.

Is there a way to delete the entire thread? I'm dying of embarrassment! :)

I am very sorry for wasting your time!!!

Re: Unique Rounding Problem

Although that still doesn't explain why the two subtotals different by a few cents in Step 3 of the checkout process (see image in first post)....Grrr...and here I thought it was taken care of.

Re: Unique Rounding Problem

I don't know how you are using the Discounts for the Products or how they are setup to see if there is an issue on the amount you are charging on the discount multiplied by the quantities ...

What version Zen Cart are you using?

If you switch to the Classic Template does that changing how the pricing works?

Re: Unique Rounding Problem

Linda,
I'm using Quantity Discounts under Product Price Manager to set up the pricing structure. I just took off all the discounts for the product and both totals are now correct. So it appears to have something to do with setting percentages in the price manager. Maybe if I tried using "Amount off" instead of "Percentage.... Let me try the different options in the discount box to see if I can't isolate the problem

I'm using 1.3.9h, admin says everything is current.

I am using the classic template.

Re: Unique Rounding Problem

Linda,
The problem is with the "Percentage off" option in the discount manager. Everything appears correctly and both subtotals are the same when I use "Amount off" (which works just fine for the time being, but it would have been extra nice to be able to use the percentage option).

Re: Unique Rounding Problem

I can't think of what other settings would affect only the "Percentage" discount option.

But like I said, that option is the only one with a problem, and using "Amount off" is fine for me.

Absolutely bizarre.
