Country listing in registrating new costumer

When a new costumer creates a new account and want to use "Sweden" from the dropdown list i got complaints that they cant find "Sweden" in the list.
The reason for this is that "Sweden" is positioned as number 2 from the top, under "United States".
The rest of the countrys in the list is positioned alphabetically which make it easy to find the desired country.

How do i get "Sweden" to be listed alphabetically in the list with the other countrys?

What did you do to get that behavior ?

i didnt do anything but install the shop and then started to create the products.
The only language installed is the original english, and i dont have any extra modules installed.

Do you have any idea why this is happening?

Could it be something to do with the main currency being Swedish??

What setting are you using in the Configuration ... Customer Details ...

Create Account Default Country ID
Set Create Account Default Country ID to:
Default is 223

What are your settings in the Configuration ... My Store ...

Country
The country my store is located in

Note: Please remember to update the store zone.

If you have Sweden selected as the Default, but have my store set to United States, the Country dropdown will read:
Please Choose Your Country
Sweden
United States
Aaland Islands


If you have Sweden for both, then you will see:
Please Choose Your Country
Sweden
Aaland Islands
