EZ Pages customisation issue

Hello,

I'm having troubles customising my Ez Pages. Through

Tools > Define Pages Editor

I first selected the HTML test editor area, followed by the Contact Us page in the drop down menu. I typed 'Contact Us' in bold and on the next line 'I am testing the contact us ez pages file' and when I look at the result on my web page;

The result is

I've tried using different browsers and searching here through the faq, but haven't been able to find a solution to my problem.

That was a bug in that version.
Upgrade to the latest version and that problem will go away.

how do i upgrade without loosing all of my customisation?

It's documented in the Zen Cart files:
1. Download the v1.3.9h zip file by using the download link on the home page of zen-cart.com
2. Unzip it
3. Go into the /docs/ folder you just extracted, and view the Changelog for v1.3.9h by double-clicking it. It'll open in your browser.
4. Look at the list of changed files, and replace those files on your site with the ones from the folders you just extracted. If you had customized any of those specific files, redo your customizations in them.
5. Consider reading the What's New for v1.3.9h also in the /docs/ folder, since it tells you how to upgrade and what's changed between versions.


Oh, and be sure to make a COMPLETE backup of all your site files and database before you begin. Use your FTP program for backing up the files, and phpMyAdmin for your database: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=103

Thanks for your quick response. I modified each of the files listed in the following file:

changelog-v1-3-9h.html

I just have one concern though... I wasn't quite sure what to do with this line

/zc_install/ ... assume *all* of /zc_install/ has changed


I was pretty worried that the modifications performed on my site (i didn't do them), would disappear if i was to extract the contents within zc_install and over rite the includes folder (classes, functions, modules etc).

None of the zc_install folders/files are needed after installation or upgrading is finished, and none of them directly overwrite files outside of /zc_install/; they only cause other files to be modified if you RUN zc_install. As you have already replaced the changed files, you should be done and can delete the whole /zc_install/ folder.
