How can I add a cost column to Sales Report?

Hi all,

This is my first post on the forum, and I would like to say that I think it awesome that people give their free opinions on this free e-commerce application.

My question:
I installed 'Sales Report' to show the total of sales during a given time period.
I also installed the 'Products Profit/Margin Calculator and report' which allows you to fill in a 'cost' field for each product.

Now what I really would like to do, is to add another column to the Sales Report that shows costs for the purchased items. This way I could calculate the profit I made in total, and on each order.

I have spent several hours in trying to figure out how to add the cost value, but i'm just to unacquainted with PHP and MySQL.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
