    Default Displaying Product Price Next to Options Values

    I've got a few products that vary in price depending on an option you select within the product's dropdown.

    Next to each option value is the price added to the lowest price value of the product, which seems pretty confusing when a customer sees:

    "Option 1"
    "Option 2 (+ $74.00)"
    "Option 3 (+ $100.00)"

    Of course, if I set "Product Priced by Attributes" and set no default price for the product, it would work but how do I remove the "+" sign and just have the actual price?

    Cq,

    • In the box for 'Prices and Weight" simply delete the plus (+) sign. The system defaults to adding the cost of the attribute. If an attribute is supposed to reduce the price, you must leave the minus (-) sign in place.

    for new products and/or attributes:

    When adding an attribute to a product you will end up at this same screen with the "EDITING" panel. Just be sure to remove the plus signs.

    @haredo

    Thanks! Simple fix that I didn't even think of trying.

    Another thing, I have my first option value in the product dropdown set as "Please select your option"..

    However, if a customer was to hit the Add To Cart Button while still on the option, the cart would still add the product.

    Is there a way to disable or require choosing another option if the user tries to add the product to the cart and still has the "Please select your option" value selectd?

    Cq,
    There are a series of colored boxes in the attribute controller when editing a attribute.. Change the first box (yellow) to yes and the third box (tan) to yes only for the Please Selects.... This will force your customer and a flag will come up on the page telling them they forgot to pick an attribute ...
