Adding a 2nd search engine bar

My site is www.tte.ca. I would like to add another search bar next to the one already on the site, I don't want to add it to the sidebox which I know I can do. The second search engine will have the text enter laptop info here, which will direct the visitor to the Battery and ac adapter page of that laptops model. Now I realize that both search bars will give me the same results. All I want to know is how do add the specific code to the search.php file. Also I would want to change the background color of the new search bar as well as the text.

Typically category specific searches use 'advanced search'
The customer can select "Batteries and adapters" as the category to search.

I realize that. What we are attempting to do is give the site visitors an unknown option whereby when they enter their laptop name and model they will automatically be brought to our Battery and ac adapter page. I guess I would call it an attention getter.

Is there NOBODY out there that can help. Just a suggestion or what file to alter the code in. Any help would be appreciated.

Could start by downloading a search add on from the Free Software Add Ons to see what files make up the search functions within ZC.

Typically category specific searches use 'advanced search', maybe you should use the Developers Tool Kit and search for advanced search to see what files it returns

I'm no coder, but that was what I was thinking. copy the advanced search to the header or make a link to it?
