Can't upload config

Everything seems to be working fine, i've renamed the admin folder but when i go to upload the config.php file it fails

I've set many different variations via chmod but i still can't upload the file, the frontend of the site is fine its just the backend

Sometimes it's hard to set the permissions via the FTP program. It looks like you've done it but the computer is just screwing with your mind. If your host has a cpanel, try setting the permissions there and then uploading the new configure file.
Or, download the old configure and save a copy to a safe place. Label it something like "backup of original configure file in case I screw up.php-bak." (There, I told him to backup - so don't yell at me!)

Then once you have a safe copy of the original stashed away on your home computer, use your cpanel or file manager to delete the old one online, and then use the ftp program to upload the changed version. Since there won't be anything to overwrite, you shouldn't have any problem uploading it. Then once it's uploaded use your file manger/cpanel to set permissions to whatever was recommended in the install instructions.

Yes... many hosts do not allow doing CHMOD to certain levels via FTP. These are always best done in C-Panel.
