Foreign Addresses

So today I got my first order in a foreign address, Germany to be exact, and when I went to look at the order I see the following:

Johanniterstraße XXXX
XXXXXXX Donauwörth
Germany

Luckily for me, PayPal actually had the proper address. But I'm wondering, is there a way to prevent this in ZenCart? I heard about using Unicode but not sure how to go about setting this up.

Any information on this yet? I'm having the same problem and have found murmurings of switching things to unicode. I am currently on zencart version 1.3.9c and charset-iso-8859-1.

I'm really hesitant about altering my files because I have zero recourse and help from my host, so...any help would be very much appreciated.
