Was this a *sudden* change of events? Or has it never worked?
And, what do you mean by "no order details" and what do you mean by "being sent"? Do you mean no emails are arriving from your store when orders are placed? Or no details showing up in the PayPal transaction about what items were ordered?

Here's the clarification:
1. I was using PayPal IPN
2. I switched to PayPal express checkout - which is much better
3. My understanding was that when a customer purchased and was then sent to paypal - the order details would be displayed in paypal - not just "Current purchase". I thought the express checkout would pass through details of the order to paypal.
But, that is not happening. nor can I find any way to make that happen.

The line-item details will be sent to PayPal if and only if there are no discounts or special calculations that cause complications to PayPal's mathematics formula.
And in v1.3.9 there were some enhancements done to find some workarounds to some of the limitations previously encountered. Upgrading would be a good start.

I got the same problem. I believe this is known bug.
I'm running 1.3.8a, and was advised to upgrade to 1.3.9h.
But I do not think upgrade to 1.3.9h will solve this.
anyone who has 1.3.9h, but still has this issue persists ?

A guy with 47k posts says to upgrade will help and you ask if it's correct?
You need to upgrade to 1.3.9h AND remove and reinstall any PayPal data that might have been transferred with your old database.
