    Default help - products not showing

    sorry if this is answered I have spent some time looking for it but can't see it.

    I have latest version of zencart and a black and purple template. The program was automatically added to site by softalicious (or something like this?)

    Site is showing up fine and categories are all showing. But have added a product to category but it shows as being there in the admin section but on the url site when you click on the category it is a blank page coming up although the cateogry states there is 1 item in it. When the item is deleted from the category then the category comes up with no products in it as it should do.

    Any ideas?

    I appreciate the time and I am very new to this - I have set one up before and didn't get this problem.

    A blank page, or the 'There are no products in this category' message ? If it's blank, look for error log files in your /cache folder.

    Hi there. many thanks for taking the tiem to come back to me.

    yes it is a blank page and I found the cache you mentioned and there are a few mydebug error logs with the following message. Do you know what to do please?

    Hi thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I looked for the answer in the faq's after finding the fault in the cache and I have now corrected it.

    Since the english.php file only has around 700 lines, it can't have an error on line 1401.

    This error is almost always caused by editing that file using something other than a text editor and ending up with an extra line or character at the end of the file.

    Don't edit PHP files with Dreamweaver or any other WYSIWG editor.
