dropdown menu in header box catagories

I am looking to add drop down menu for categories in the header bar (i.e. <featured products> <specials> etc.) although i also want to change the names (i.e. <surveillance> <cameras> <spy gear> <counter surveillance>). i found a thread for 2008 on how to do this in 1.3.7 and 1.3.8 but need to do it in version 1.3.9h

on rollover the drop down menu appears automatically without clicking on it. now i have no drop down so i need the whole thing.

well i did it and it made everything below the header bar disapear

any ideas?

I am using bask_black and in some places it said to put files in MY_TEMPLATE but to rename the folder to my template name. now i added those files to bask_black instead of adding a new folder called My_Own_Template because where they wanted the files I did not have My_Own_template (i do have one just not where they wanted the files, but i did have bask_black so i put them there.

any ideas would be helpful

got it, it is not exactly what i wanted but maybe i can tweak it to fit.
