Sudden LinkPoint Coupon Trouble/Processing

Hi there everyone,
We've got a client running 1.3.8 and they are moving to another host. We're simply waiting on the new host to upload the site to the new location and repoint the domain. In the last three days, she started getting the linkpoint error: SGS-002301, 'Charge total must be the sum of sub-total, tax, value added tax and shipping.
She has a coupon that does the following:
All coupons with a specific amount to be deducted or with a percentage to be deducted are failing. The Credit Card is declined and does not process and the link point error we posted above gets logged. Coupons with Free shipping option checked and a code work fine.
These percentage and set amount coupons worked fine until four days ago, when it started causing the error above. Due to the fact that the client is moving to another host any day now, upgrading the cart is not a solution she will entertain, however in the spirit of warm-fuzziness, we would like to fix her issue if at all possible.
Is there any way we can troubleshoot this problem short of upgrading the cart? We would really like to help her resolve this issue, but aren't sure how to go about doing this.
