    Idea or Suggestion Controlling Attributes

    There are some many posts out there that I thought to start a new one (sorry).

    I have setup an attribute, using the radio button, so that the customer selects the item they want. At the top it say 'starting at: the the price that is set in product in Category. No problems with that bit.

    The problem is that when a customer selects a product, which has a price added at product attributes, both prices are added together. I have followed the Zencart book's instructions however I am still unable to get it to work. Help please

    Idea or Suggestion Re: Controlling Attributes

    I have sorted it. I will explain;

    whilst in 'Product In Category, Set Product Priced by Attribute to 'YES'

    Product Price (net) and (gross) leave at Zero.

    catalog/Attributes Controller set up your menu as it mentions in the book.
    Then next to edit/delete buttons select the 'option value' you need to add a value too.

    Prices and Weights under Price insert the price for that item and remove the plus sign (+) from the box next to it.

    Make sure the 'include in base price when priced by attributes' is 'no'

    click update.

    Do the same as above for all of the attributes.

    It should work.

    (If this makes sense, thank you, if not, can you re-type it so that it does make sense).

    Thank you for posting how you solved the problem you were having with attributes pricing. You may have helped someone else with a similar problem.

    Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.
