Gap between header and body

I have tried to figure out how to get rid of this through Firebug

the gap in between the header and the body on this one

Locate this:

shop/includes/templates/modern_blue/css/stylesheet.css

Find this:

.header_wrapper {
margin: auto;
text-align: left;
vertical-align: top;
width: 978px;
}

1. add this:
2. height: 238px;

Perfect, Two more quick questions if you have time.

The header, is off a bit but the code says 978 everywhere I could find.

Main question though, the body, how do I make it white. I have a background image but would like the product area white.
