Access Site Via IP Address

I just installed zen cart v1.3.9h. The site URL is still in use on another server so I want to access the site using the IP address while I get it all set up for the client. I changed includes/configure.php and zc_admin/includes/configure.php to reference the IP address instead of the URL. The admin panel works fine but the site itself is not linking to the stylesheet. In the source code the Base URL tag references the site URL rather than the IP address that I put in configure.php. Where is this coming from and how can I change it?

Are you using a dedicated IP address pointing directly to the site location, or a general IP address combined with an account name e.g. "1.2.3.4/~accountname"?

Can you click through to other pages on the site?

Are you sure that the changes have taken effect on the server? It's not uncommon for FTP clients to silently refuse to override a configure file with permission set to 444, but you would still be able to get to the site using the IP address, so the failure may not be obvious.

Thank you for the quick response but I just figured it out and was going to delete the post. The file permissions on configure.php were set to 644 so the file was not getting overwritten when I uploaded. I should have noticed this in the first place.
