New Product form not saving some data / not displaying description & image in store

Brand new to Zen Cart
v.1.3.9h, classic theme
Hosted on godaddy (if that helps)

I got the store installed and added a product to test the system out. When I save the form and hit the "preview" icon in the admin product listing, I see all info I input displayed. When I hit the "edit" icon, there are a number of fields that are empty (that had been previously filled in):
- Date Available
- Products Name
- Products Description
- Products Model

All other data I input (and the image I uploaded) seems to stay in place.

The main problem is that when I view the store, all I get is a blank page with the title of the product at the top and nothing else.

I looked at the godaddy hosting and it says I have PHP 4.x. I made the adjustments from your link, which solved the problem of the fields showing up empty when I edit them. Thanks for your quick response!

I created a new product after making this fix. I still don't have any product information showing up in the store when I click on a product except the product name in the breadcrumbs at the top of the page. Any ideas there?

Look in your directory:
/cache

on the server and read the errors in the debug logs that are created ...

You have errors breaking the completion of creating the pages when looking at Products anywhere in your shop ...
