    Default Product Name Not Appearing in Detail Line Items

    I am using Zen v1.3.9h and I have Detailed Line Items set to "YES" in the PayPal IPN module that I am using. The only thing that gets transferred to PayPal is the Size of the product... nothing else. I am not sure why the product name does not show up and only the size does. Most of my products have sizes so to see just the size without the name of the product does no good.

    Does anyone know how to get BOTH the product name as well as size and/or other options to show up in PayPal?

    ...just to be clear, the product description is what is not being transferred correctly to PayPal. Instead, the product size (which is an option/ attribute) somehow gets placed under the description instead of the product name. Does anyone have any suggestions???

    I'm wondering if this has been solved, cannot readily see a solution on the boards.

    to outline the problem (if it's not the same as above):
    payment via papal
    i receive email ~ [NEW ORDER] Order Confirmation No: xxx = this email shows all details of order
    i also receive email from paypal ~ Item no.Store Receipt - Notification of Payment Received from xxx (xxx@xxx) = this email does show order total, however under item description all details of order are missing, instead it shows "xxx Online Store Purchase
    Item Number Store Receipt"

    it's been the same since i started with v1.3.6
    it's only mildly frustrating as i can see the items purchased elsewhere, admin, other email etc but it would be nice if this info can be passed to paypal to show in the "Notification of Payment" email.
    Other info I'd like to see is the order number and the delivery address.

    also when logged into paypal i see;
    We have no delivery address on file.
    Item tile reads xxx Online Store Purchase,
    Item number reads Store Receipt

    is this a zen cart issue? ie not passing info to paypal for them to regurgitate,

    if i shop at ebay or other stores, the info is there, why not with zen-cart?
    have i missed setting something somewhere? i really would like to put this issue to bed!

    I am still waiting for a response on this issue. I wish Dr. Byte would get back in touch with a workable fix for this. I am using the latest version of Zen Cart and I am surprised that it didn't include a fix for this issue. Any advice or suggestions are welcomed.

    I am using:

    ZenCart 1.5.1
    PayPal Website Payments Standard

    When I checkout from my cart to paypal, i don't see item name, description and price, instead, I see this:

    All the items in your shopping basket (see details in the store and on your store receipt).

    How do I fix this to show all items???

    Detailed Line Items in Cart was set to NO and I changed to YES and still no product name in paypal checkout page.

    I looked everywhere on Google and forums, nothing.

    Please advise,

    that's exactly what I was getting too,

    and was getting 'not eligible' for seller protection
    even though the store was (still is) set to only allow checking out with identical billing/delivery address.

    i think i figured it out, or perhaps it was just coincidence,

    i remember comparing a fresh virgin set of DB’s,
    from 1.3.6 / 1.3.9h / 1.5.0
    i noticed that the 1.3.9 to 1.5.0 upgrade changed some tables (adding some extra fields, changed some to NULL or empty),

    my upgrade did not amend the old stuff, just left them without,
    so i manually rebuilt my 1.3.9 DB to 1.5.0 specs (cutting and pasting using two windows of notepad++) and imported it to a fresh install of 1.5.0 ... after dropping all the virgin 1.5.0 tables first.
    at bit time consuming...
    but after that and,
    including a subsequent ‘upgrade’ (the easy way) to 1.5.1
    the problem disappeared... i now receive a detailed order, whether it’s one item or many, including the attributes selected if any.

    perhaps use winmerge (or similar) to compare the tables of an old backup (store populated one) to your current 1.5.x backup (store populated one),
    change some ‘’ to NULL (or visa versa i cannot remember which) you’ll see in the 1.5.x table structure what it’s supposed to be ,
    and
    add the missing NULL or ‘’ to the table (or two, again i cannot remember which table or tables) that are missing the field, again it’ll be specified in the 1.5.x table structure(s).

    NB: i left the 1.5.0 store configuration tables alone, i.e. i did not add that stuff from the 1.3.9 DB,
    but transferred/incorporated the rest;
    zones, addresses, emails, categories and attributes, products, counters (and many more) etc ~ i wanted to keep that data
    and regarding previously installed mods, i added the mod tables that i still wanted to use. (not forgetting to FTP the mod files too!)

    as i said a bit of a hack but you should get the results
    sorry i cannot be more specific, but it was the route to solving the problem, i’m sure

    I've just searched sourceforge for a better tool than winmerge with "compare two databases",
    I found

    then googling "compare two databases" I found a recommendation for

    NB:
    I have not tried either, so am not recommending them,
    just pointing out there are tools out there to make life a little simpler!
